I am a long-time wearer of Keds, and this black leather is my favorite for travel in foreign lands because (1) it is comfortable for days of sightseeing, (2) it tolerates rain (machine washable leather), and (3) it looks more attractive than the big clompy white athletic shoes which foreigners consider to be American bad taste.

Keds are great for nostalgia's sake, but all the issues with Keds came along with them. Your heel slips out of the heel box with every single step. The laces need to be retied over, and over, and over, and over again. And that's just in one morning, because the laces will nit stay tied. I like the nostalgia value, and they look cool like Keds have always looked. But I wish I had never bought these shoes; they are more of a pain the in ass than anything else. If Keds really work for you, great. If you have ever had any issue wearing Keds, save your money so you won't regret your purchase.

This shoe runs very true to size in length, but the width is undersized. I have a wide foot but don't usually need an EE. This is my second pair and I love them and Zappos.

These shoes are very versatile and lightweight. I found the Keds sizing and cut a little odd when I first put it on, as it's not like most other shoes out there. (It feels much more narrow than most shoes). However, they seemed to relax a bit as I wore them and were comfortable. I had tried a wide the first go around, and it was ridiculously wide, even though I had ordered a regular wide. This isn't a high tech shoe with lots of arch support, so if you're looking for that, you'll either need to provide it yourself, or look elsewhere.

Classic Keds I look at them in my closet and think of the red canvas pair I had as a kid many years ago, makes me want to climb a tree. There is no arch support but with my orthotics I get the arch support I need other than that the fit and feel is good. I love the fact that the leather is much easier to keep clean and white than the canvas version. Like a great pair of jeans or cowboy boots once broken in they become part of you.

I wanted a pair of white Keds to be able to wear casually or to work. Someone recommended leather rather than canvas when purchasing white, as cleaning is much easier. Since receiving them, they are super comfortable, go with everything, and I am more than satisfied with my purchase.

If you want the comfort of a sneaker, but not for sports, these sneakers look nice with black tights and a neat day-time outfit. I buy one size wider so that I can fit into the shoes a 3/4 heel/arch insert and a Dr Scholl's liner. They're comfortable all day long and look neat as a pin.

I have been wearing Keds as long as I can remember, and I am 53. My mom wore them while I was growing up. Both of us still love them. The white fabric originals are staples in our wardrobes, and it's nice to have the leather version, too. I have found that the "fancier styles" do not run true to size, but these do. Although they do not have enough support for exercising or hiking, they are perfect for just running around. Try them, you will become a fan!

Though I'd bought this leather Champion in the same size (12 narrow) for years, the construction has changed. The changes suggest that less leather is now used to make the shoe. First, the front half of the shoe (upper/vamp/tongue section) is shorter: it does not lace up as far back as before, so the shoe is less supportive. It seems narrower across the ball of the foot, as well. Second, the back half of the shoe--from the arch to the ankle, (quarter/collar) is much shallower and wider. The shoe gaped around my ankle. Because the width at the ankle was inconsistent with the narrow forefoot, I couldn't correct the fit with a sock. It was a great disappointment to lose a classic that was once a reliable wardrobe staple. I had to return the shoe.

These were perfect. Since the size is so difficult to find 10N Zappos is about the only place they were available. A great shoe for the ages as it wears well and lasts for years.

I love these. They are very comfortable and light. They are not heavy and bulky like a lot of tennis shoes are.

Just as everyone said, this is a perfect little walking shoe. I walked all over Paris in it with no sore spots or rubbing. I put in some arch supports just for good measure. The leather is very easy to clean as well -- better than the canvas. Stylish, classic, love 'em.

I have a wide foot,and when I can find wide shoes, I normally wear a 6.5. but found the 6.5 wide much too large! I sent them back and am ordering the 6 instead. Great shoe, and very durable, even when I put them through the wash machine!

I've always wanted to wear this kind of sneaker but could never find them wide enough. I ordered this in 7.5WW, but had to exchange them for a 7WW. Also like the fact that they are leather. Very comfortable!

Good shoes, lasted six months wearing them every other day during a NH winter and snow and rain every day, salt crusting your shoes from the sidewalks, etc. I'm pretty tough on shoes in general. Not wonderfully fashionable, but it's hard to find any shoe in a size 5 D or EE, so kudos to Keds. I used inserts to create a better arch in the shoe and it doesn't have much on its own, which caused a bit of discomfort wearing them in the beginning. All in all, a good value, and I will be buying a couple of canvas pairs for the summer. :)

Extra wide was not really altho it may have felt that way because the leather(which may be faux:ie mis represented as :leather" ) is so thin that three of my toes are pushing up on top. This is when they are :new:. Also the 10 is enormous.Not usually a problem i have. I rarely both to review. But not only are these disappointing,the material is substandard and will not hold up.

I recently purchased these Keds with the help of other reviews... Yes, they do run larger than what I normally wear! I normally get a 10W...the 9.5W fit perfectly. Keep reviews coming...they help! PS. I also ordered the black canvas...sent those back (they were too narrow!).

I have narrow feet and finding shoes is impossible, the narrow black ones fit awesomely. I will definitely be repurchasing. Thank you Keds for making affordable narrow shoes.

I normally wear a size 8.5N in an enclosed shoe and a 9M in a sneaker (with socks). The Champion-Leather Keds are comfortable and great for long walks in the city (though don't expect much cushioning or arch support like you'd get with a New Balance sneaker, for example). I also have this brand in canvas. By the way, the service at Zappos is excellent!

I wear 6 1/2 - 7 but based on the reviews I went with the smaller size. Perfect fit. The baristas I work with wear anything from heavy clogs to Toms, but I was looking for something in regulation black leather that was very comfortable and slim. They feel good, they look rad, and all the syrup and whipped cream wipes off clean. As it turns out, I tend to wear these guys with a pair of jeans on my days off as well. Weird bonus: If you're ever stuck in a classroom with a chalkboard, these shoes are pretty much a clean slate.

The shoes fit perfectly and they were comfortable. I will be exchanging them for a different pair, because the right shoe had nice and smooth leather, the right shoe had a wrinkled leather look to it. I am attaching a pictures too. Over all really nice shoes :-)

I have worn the basic leather Keds Champion forever. I always buy a 6 W as Keds run a bit narrow. This pair is defective as the toe area has an odd bump. Both shoes are off. My year old pair look better than these.

This was my first pair of leather keds. I had only owned canvas before these! I love them! I wear them with everything from denim to dresses. They are easier to keep clean bc they are leather and they are a classic I will continue to wear for years! A true closet staple and so versatile! Even bought my sister-in-law a pair for Christmas and she loved them just as much!

Lovely looking and light weight. But there's no support. When I insert my orthotics, my heels lift out at the back of the shoe. Sorry to send them back.

Exactly what my daughter needed, and of course, with Zappos, it showed up quickly!
