Great shoes. I got them to match True Religion Tony Vintage Premium jeans, with similar stitching in pockets to the Doc's. Perfect, and the color is great. It is a little faded/cool so not plastic and new looking leather. I usually take 10½-11; got 10 and 11, the 11 was good, 10 went back. Do not go smaller than your usual; go higher if you usually wear a half size shoe.

I love these shoes! They are well made and quite comfortable and stylish. Perfect for fall weather in the midwest. I wear them almost every single day!

Great shoes, and totally amazing service from Zappos. I ordered these at 11:30pm on Sunday 24 July 2011, and they were delivered to my door at lunch time on Tuesday 26 July 2011.

Wasn't expecting such unbelievable customer service, oh yeah, and the shoes are awesome too. We ordered 2 other pairs of shoes as well that week. Thanks Zappos, you have a customer for life.

My wife loves these shoes. To be honest when I first saw them I thought they would be stiff and uncomfortable. On closer look they were soft and seemed to be well padded. Bottom line is that she needs good footwear for work and these deliver with style.

Right on! Okay, first you gotta understand I love Doc Martens. They last forever and they always look great. I wanted a black pair of the ones I have currently and the Doc Marten website was out of my size; however, Zappos has them in their own warehouse in my size. This was my first purchase at Zappos. I had some questions about stock so I called the Zappos number. The customer rep was flat out knowledgeable. She knew exactly my concern over the issue of stock and she confirmed that they had it in their warehouse with a real physical check, not just what showed up on their computer inventory. Nice. I also got the got the tracking number without even having to ask...it's just part of their way they do business. How many dotcoms do it like this? With the addition of sweet phone reps? I didn't realize until after I found my shoes that they sell everything else under the sun. Going to be buying all my hard to find shoes and other clothes from them from now on.

These shoes were comfortable the first time I put them on. No break in period was needed and the free shipping with Zappos is terrific. The only little problem I have with the shoes is the tongue on the left shoe tends to slip to the left on my foot no matter how tight I fasten the laces. Overall, these shoes are great!

Love them! Didn't even need to wear them a few times to break them in!

I have a pair of these in "honey", which was an option several years ago. They have taken a beating and are still one of my favorite and most comfortable pairs of shoes! However, I had some different Docs in black that weren't quite as fantastic (don't recall the name of the originals). So I just picked up a second pair of the 8312 in black. Brilliant! At least as comfy as my old browns and they look hot. I hope this model stays for a long time and I'd buy them in more colors if they were offered! Giving only 4 stars for style because that's so subjective, but 5 stars overall -- I get compliments and can wear these shoes all day long with a smile.

Awesome shoes. They took a couple days to break them in, but I have been wearing them every day since. The larger sole makes them feel a little heavy, but I like having clunky shoes on.

Overall, I absolutely love these shoes. As with all of my previous pairs of Docs, they are extremely uncomfortable for about the first week until they are broken in. After that, these are the most comfortable shoes I have owned. The arch support is a bit lacking, but with a mild insole insert, it makes them just right.

This is the second pair of these I have bought. First pair for my husband, second pair for my teenage son that kept wearing his father's! Very well made shoe. Very comfortable shoe. We love our Dr. Martens! Well worth the money...will last forever!

I love these shoes! The leather was a little stiff the first few times I wore them but they have broken in beautifully. They look great with jeans or khakis and I can wear them all day without having any pain in my feet - and I spend a lot of time on my feet.

Great shoes! This is my 2nd pair of Docs. My others I've had for about 11 years now and they look almost new still. These are comfortable after a short breaking in period, look great with khakis or jeans. Absolutely love them.

I love this shoe. I am a waitress so I need something that going to grip the floor. I feel comfortable in these shoes. They look heavy but there are not at all.

I love these shoes. I needed something that had grip on the soles. I feel so much better walking around in snow or ice with these shoes on. I never feel like I will fall. These shoes were worth the money. They are awesome!

Were shipped overnight! Little stiff at first but love them, great for work. I'm a Doctor and on my feet all day. I wear a 13 running shoe but the 12 works for this shoe.

About 3 years ago we bought these shoes in brown for my husband and he wore them every single day! Fab construction and durable, very comfortable for him too! When it came time for him to replace his other black shoes there was no competition on which to get - these! He loves them, and for a guy that a few years ago would wear nothing but cowboy boots this is a huge step! We promise you won't be disappointed; they do well in rain, snow, or sunshine, and are probably the only kind of shoes he will ever buy in the future. Even the 3 year old brown pair is showing minimal signs of age after all this time - great shoes!

I love my new Dr Martens. I am going to buy another pair in a different style now that I know where I can get them. The service I received from Zappos was better than I could have hoped for, and I will use them again.

I wanted a shoe that looked nicer than my old running shoes, but still looked casual enough to wear with jeans and a sweatshirt. I love my Docs. I wear them to my 8 am classes with a hoodie, or to date nights with my boyfriend. They're great!

Very comfortable and durable. I wear them mainly for work and am on my feet constantly as a bartender. The soles will last forever.

I love my Dr. Martens. I wear woman's size 8US, and size 6UK. They're really big vertically, so I just put in a pair of insoles and they fit great. I could use a 1/2 size smaller but didn't see 1/2 sizes. Love them.
