Unhappy - This shoe looks great but upon arrival the sole was not leather. I didn't realize this until it showed up at my door. The picture looked like leather. My husband will not even consider wearing them so they will go back in the box and sent back. Too bad because they look great if you like the rubber soles.

Bostonian Prescott - I feel bad to write a negative review of a shoe on Zappos’ website, as Zappos is great, but I hate these shoes and I feel that people should have my input in order to avoid a potentially bad purchase (and save you and Zappos the hassle of doing a return). It is in no way Zappos’ fault that these shoes are terrible. While I think Bostonian generally offers a decent product for the money, this is the worst Bostonian shoe I have ever had. The cheap leather was covered with a plasticy material to make it look shiny (I removed this with rubbing alcohol and then polished normally - then they looked a little better). The worst part about the shoe is the sole. It feels and looks like a cheap, soft plastic and the shoes seem like a toy. However, while I hate this, I can see why people (like teenagers, perhaps) who can't stand wearing non-athletic shoes might prefer this, as the shoes seemed soft and comfortable. I wore these once, but wish I didn't so that I could return them.
