Third pair of Dr. Martens. The last pair are still usable, but the soles are getting a little thin, and I wanted more grip for riding my motorcycle. But in general, I expect these will last 7 to 10 years like my current ones did. That's a great value to me. Add to that the great Dr. Martens look and you have a great product at a great price. Zappos.com of course add the best price and great service to the mix. So you can't go wrong with the combination of Dr. Martens and Zappos.com.

These boots aren't for comfort lol. But they are great. I love them. Took me back to Jr. High. lol.

I love these boots. Everyone loves these boots, and wants them. I wear them all the time and spend most of my time at work. They are not even a year old and the leather has split below the eyes on one, and the other has blown out the sole. I want to purchase another pair, but am considering a different brand, but none are as cool as Docs are, thinking of their functionality with my work wardrobe, and recreational wardrobe. The steel toes are necessary since I work with beer kegs, and I would highly recommend them. They were never once uncomfortable as some say steel toes might be. However, they did not age well, and got more uncomfortable with time, as i was hoping with such an investment that they would become more comforting to my poor dogs that bark as time went on.

So...I'm a lady, with square-shaped lady feet. I ordered the UK 5, which is a standard US 7. I have another pair of DM boots that are labeled with a 'W' (for lady feet) that are also a size UK 5. These boots were HUGE. They were easily an inch longer than my other DM boots. The look is great, but I can't wear clown shoes, so I had to send them back. If you are a woman, you might be better off looking for Docs that have a 'W' in the title and getting those as they are probably closer to what you are used to in terms of size. (I marked the review with three stars but, really, I have no concept of the comfort of these shoes since I was unable to actually wear them for more than a couple of minutes.)

I had to return these because the leather that was over the steel toe squeaked whenever I walked. I tried wearing them every day for nearly a month and the squeaking only got louder so I returned them due to a manufacturer defect. The quality has really suffered since they stopped making them in England.
