Great Look! The Pearl Sydney is not just great looking. It is one of the most comfortable Birks I own. The color dresses up the shoe a lot.

Love It! What a great shoe! I love the patent leather look on the Birk. It dresses it up just a little bit, but you still have the comfort of a Birk. Also, I have worn Birkenstocks for about 13 years and I have always bought 'medium' or 'regular'. Zappos noted that a Birk 'narrow' is actually an American standard width. I ordered narrow and it fit great! The shoe looked more streamlined and better fitting than my past Birks that I had bought in stores with the help of a salesperson. I love Zappos! Great site, excellent customer service and they stayed true to their price match guarantee. I found the shoe for less on another site and Zappos met the price, less $1.00. I will always shop with Zappos.

I ordered this lovely dark purple Sydney in a 40 Narrow which is what my silver Mayari is - but it was just too large! Thanks to Zappos' wonderful service I was able to order in a 39 and at first I was afraid it might be a smudge short - but wore it around the house and they are great!! I did take them to my neighborhood Boot Repair guy & he added a new hole in each strap --- now they are scrumptiously perfect!!!! :-)) New Narrow Birk convert!

Yes!!! The Sidney is my favorite Birkenstock. After trying several styles, I have found these shoes to be perfect. They are extremely comfortable AND they are so good looking. Due to numerous sports injuries I need my Birkenstocks. They never disappoint. In this part of Arkansas the main shoe outlets are the feed store & Wal-Mart. Thanks to Zappos I can have my Birkenstocks without a 120 mile to the nearest Birkenstock store.

Comfortable and feminine - I have this shoe in pearlized blue. It is just as comfortable as the classic Arizona, but much more feminine looking. Be sure to follow Zappos instructions on width so you select the correct one.

Very comfortable shoe - Love the Sydney. Hardly any break in time. Love the color, better than a true white goes with more.

Cute and Faithful - I own many pairs of "Arizona" Birkenstocks, but needed a vacation shoe for Vegas in July. I got the Sydney in pearl white, and it is just WONDERFUL!!! It has a more feminine summery look to it, and is more stylish than the Arizona. The top strap fits up a little higher on the foot than the Arizona, so that took a few days to get adjusted to. The footbed is exactly as my other Birkenstocks, and it only took a few hours to break in. The pearl white is a little bit cream color, not bright white. I'll be ordering these again, in different colors. The straps were a bit shorter than average, but still fit fine. Excellent shoe all around.

Best sandals for walking - This is a great sandal and feels so good on your feet, as someone who walks a lot I know plenty about what a good shoe should feel like that this is one. I love them and would recommend them to anyone.

These are awesome! I have a very narrow foot and with the adjustable straps they fit perfectly. Thank you Zappos for always having just what I need.

Fantastic! This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I love them. They do need to be broken in, but it is worth the effort. I have severe knee problems and this shoe has helped tremendously.

Black Patent Sydneys - These Birkenstocks are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. The Arizonas and Sydneys are both great. Zappos service is also a big plus. I am an extremely satisfied customer.

Great Look...Classic Birkenstock - I ordered this shoe in two colors because I was impressed with the subtle, pearlized colors on leather. I am very pleased with the look and fit of this shoe. First, the pearlized white is a great color and the pearlized violet is very subtle with a silver undertone. Even though it is pearlized it is not a flashy shoe. I wear a 39 regular normally and it fits fine but the straps are a little shorter that my other Birkenstock sandals. But, they are comfortable fastened in the last hole. Length and width in the Sydney seems comparable to other styles.

Same great fit with a lighter look - I've worn three other styles of Birkenstocks and the Sydney fits every bit as well. While I will always love the Boston, the Sydney has a lighter, less clunky look. It is perfect for summer.

Shiny - I have had many styles of Birkenstock shoes over the years and I have to say these are the prettiest. I love the patent leather for a bit of a dressier look, without sacrificing comfort.

Birkenstock - Sydney - As a Birkenstock advocate for 30 years, I've tried many of the styles and usually wear Arizonas or Floridas. The Sydney has a bit of a different feel and it takes awhile to get used to them. I usually wear a regular width but went with the narrow with this style. I love the look of them - less bulky than the other styles.

Classy comfort - There is nothing like Birks, and nothing like Zappos either. Both the best. Unless you have a wide foot, always purchase narrow.....Birkenstock has some funky colors but their trademark soft neutrals are still the best.

Birkie Glitz! I debated about the patent leather look but these are beautiful shoes. I have worn nothing but Birkie-type shoes for years and welcome the bit of glitz, combined with the always-reliable comfort. Thanks!

Birkenstock Sydney - I think the patent is great for a dressy sandal, and yet you get the comfort of Birkenstock.

The way your feet should feel - I've always hesitated to buy Birkenstocks b/c I've always pretty much thought they weren't the most attractive shoe a person could choose to wear. After a summer of wearing flip-flops and then having to go back to the classroom wearing "real shoes", my feet hurt! So, I bit the bullet, bought a pair, and my feet have thanked me ever since. I love these shoes!

GREAT! This is my first pair of Birks and I just love them! They are so comfortable and stylish. They match just about everything! I would highly recommend!

Birkenstock Sydney Sandal - I got a replacement pair of Birkenstock Sydney sandals when my first pair wore out. The look is improved - they are cut with a little less in the strap area than my last pair and more attractive. The size recommended was a little big lengthwise, but the next size down fit perfectly. I tried a few different styles in the Birkenstock family, but returned them because of comfort issues. These cradle my foot from heel to toe. These seem to be the only style that I can wear that has everything - looks and comfort. And my heels stay in place unlike other styles. The Zappos customer service people are very friendly and didn't give me a hassle when I had to return another style and I really like the fact of free shipping!! I would definitely order shoes from them again.

Sydney's the Best - After trying other styles - even in Birkenstock, the Sydney is the best fit. I had to make an exchange from a 37N to 36N as the 37N was too long. It was a size too big. I am VERY happy with the 36N - in fact, I ordered another pair in a different color. The fit is perfect. The Zappos customer service is very well organized and ordering/exchanging was a pleasant experience - and fast, too. I like the fact that it's free shipping both ways. That's a definite plus.

Great find! Finally, like days of old, the Arizona's first cousin, much better for less needy feet, and more feminine look, plus great placement of this thinner strap. And excellent leeway for enlarging or tightening the straps as well. I wish there were more colors. Perhaps next season.

"A Great Choice" First time buyer of Birkenstock Sydney...a Great Style that can be worn on many occasions. Have them on now and have worn them all day which is a wonderful new experience for me!

Worth the price - Took a little while to get used to, but very comfortable and a great fit for my wide feet!
