This stuff is a must. And well worth the extra step at shoe polishing time because it extends the life of a polishing. I wear my DMs for work and I'm pretty tough on my shoes. I use DM polish on them, buff 'em up, and then put on a coat of DM Wonder Shoe Balsam. It protects them from water, snow, salt, etc. and it protects the shine. I can still buff them up to shine after a week or two and they look great. A beat-up looking pair of DMs is great -- it's own statement -- but if you need to look sharp for the office, this is work the investment.

Gives boots (leather) a slightly darker, rich tone...haven't had full water protection experience, but based on how it worked into leather, it will likely not disappoint.

I bought it for cleaning nubuck, sadly the label says it can not do that. But it's pretty good for leather. As for nubuck, I might try the Ugg cleaning kit.

Used this product on my 11-year-old + Doc Martens that I have put through the mill, and it does work well, restoring some of the luster and condition of the leather. The packaging is clever, with an included sponge that is suspended in a metal holder over the wax product, which keeps everything neat and handy. I'm not sure that the product itself works any better than regular old mink oil, but the packaging is certainly better.

This is a great product to make shoes look like new - adds a nice sheen. I'll definitely use it on dress shoes. However, if you work in a dusty environment, be aware it is a dust magnet! Dry brushing the dust off is not working.

Works great on all colors of leather. Helps protect and covers scuffs and scratches. Made my old Docs look great, at least for a few days - probably needs to be reapplied about weekly for the best results.

Dr. Martens Wonder Shoe Balsam - This is a good product. It softens the leather and it does remove scuff marks. It does not waterproof the shoe; you will still need to treat with a silicone based product. All in all I feel it is a good product and I will continue to use it to clean my shoes.

Works great, but must be used again and again - I was really excited to get this balsam for my Dr. Martens, especially after reading all the positive reviews. We used it on all of our Dr. Martens (four pairs) and they looked like new!! But then after about a week, the scuffs and older looks have already come back. I would still recommend this, but be warned that it's not a one time fix.

Wonder Shoe Balsam - Easy to use. Improves appearance of shoe with little effort and protects. I like it!

Doc Martens Shoe Balsam - I've only had the opportunity to use the wonder shoe balsam on one pair of shoes since my purchase. I was completely amazed at the results. I look forward to getting the same results with some of my other shoes.

Shoe Polish - I always used Doc Martens brand shoe polish on all my Docs and then on all my shoes that needed polishing and then also on bags that needed a little TLC. I thought this would be different from their other shoe polish but I can't tell the difference, although maybe the original stuff is better. I'm not sure whether they make the original stuff anymore but I know it was at least half the price of the Wonder Shoe Balsam. So if they still manufacture the other polish I will hunt it down and buy it but if they don't then this stuff is good enough and I would buy it over other brands.

Dr. Martens Wonder Shoe Balsam - It's pretty amazing stuff. It exceeded my expectations

It works - I have a pair of shoes that I have worn almost everyday to work since I got them and they were obviously a bit scuffed up. Now the leather is completely repaired and looks like new. Now I can wear them again without being embarrassed by the state of the leather.

Wonder Balsam - The container comes with an application sponge that makes it easy to use. The balsam does a good job of reconditioning the leather but if you're looking for a shine...get some polish.

DM's Wonder Balsam - I ordered this item after reading other reviews in its favor. I liked the ease of use & how nice leather looks after using it. I thought it was offered at a good price point & that the amount you get is good. I would recommend it to anyone.

Semi-great polish - I like how quickly this polish works, and the results are actually quite amazing. I used regular shoe polish for years, until I discovered this stuff. The major downfall of this polish is that it doesn't last long. If you take the time to polish your shoes (like back in "the day") you will get longer-lasting results. But, if you want a quick fix that is super shiney, get this stuff!

Definitely a very worthwhile product. I wouldn't say it is the absolute best product in this class, but it does a fantastic job of treating and protecting the leather. I haven't tried out how entirely waterproof this material is, but it does an excellent job in the slush and salt of mid-late winters. The finish is a bit sticky, in that it remains tacky and can pick up dust if sitting around for too long, i.e. this product doesn't leave a great shine. Definitely only meant for full leather shoes that can absorb thick goobs of waxy protection. The product got to me very quickly...

Restores leather color - I was pleased with Dr. M's show balsam. It restored the color to my shoes where they were discolored (the toes were especially rubbed up). The restored color is not permanent and the shoe balsam will have to reapplied, but a little goes along way. It does liven up old leather and make it look better and more supple.

The package size is deceiving; the sponge is inside the jar so it is only half full of the balm. This makes it a bit pricey for the amount you get, but overall worked pretty well.

An Alternative to Shoe Polish - I bought this solidified oil as an alternative to using shoe polish on my Docs. As I just bought two new pairs of Docs, I cannot say what this oil product will do for the longevity of my shoes. I know that shoe polish worked well in the past for my former Docs. What I do know is this: the product gave a nice gleam to my black Docs; however, it substantially darkened the appearance of my Crazy Horse brown Docs. I will be curious how it withstands wetness as the rainy/snowy season is upon us. Only time will tell. Hope this helps.

Clean your shoes before using balsam. Does a pretty good job, but not a miracle-worker.

Wonder Balsam - This is a very good product. It is easy to apply and conditions and preserves the leather well. It reminds me a little of saddle soap. Be careful not to get any in your eyes. It's not dangerous but you can't seem to wash it out--the mild burning just has to run its course.

Little Bit Goes a Long Way! When I first opened the box I had a hard time finding the jar of creme, it's small for the money. But a little bit of the balsam goes a long way, and it goes on easy too. No need to buff, but finishing it off with a soft cloth gives the shoe a nice shine.

Good - For my 5 year old Doc's that have been worn very often this product does make them shine. I have only used it twice so far, but after the first time I did need to reapply. I haven't tried it on a newer pair yet, so I'm not sure I would call it a wonder. As of now I think it is a good product and I will continue to used hoping for a miracle restoration.

Balsam overview - I have about 4 pairs of Docs. One pair being about 7 years old. I have never polished them. After using this product, the scuffs and marks are basically gone. This balsam gives the shoe the moisture it needs to look almost new.
