Excellent shoe - I've had 3 pairs of this shoe, and just purchased my 4th. Very durable shoe. Last over a year easily, and I am on my feet 8-10 hours a day wearing these. I wear them every day to work, where conditions vary from dry concrete to shallow mud. I also "retired" my older pairs to be used working cattle. They still are comfortable and continue to last with a good dosing of oil to waterproof every month.

The Best! These are the BEST shoes ever! Comfortable right out of the box, great on snow and ice! I work in a cooler and the floor gets wet and I never have to worry about slipping. This is my second order of this shoe... the other pair lasted over a year! I have NEVER had a shoe last that long! Only complaint is they don’t come in half sizes, but still worth it! On my fourth pair of Dr. Marten's now. This is a great boot for all around wear. I wore my previous pair nearly five 8 hour days a week, on nights out, and in the yard. They still haven't worn out completely after 2 years! The company is also very good about replacing any rare defective product. Would not recommend you wear these if you're going to be standing around and not moving much. They get uncomfortable after about an hour if you don't move around.

Finally found a pair of Dr. Martens - I have always looked at Mall's and other local merchants and the biggest they had was always a size 12. I had tried Ebay and they dont give accurate sizing and reviews. I thought I would take a gamble with this site my friend had linked me to. I recieved them ridiculously quick for their free shipping and couldn't be happier for wearing them this fall. Highly recommended by anyone having trouble finding bigger sized comfortable boots.

Ive owned 3 pairs of these boots, and they are the best boots I have owned my entire life. I use them for everything, work, dress, play, whatever. The only down side is that they have TERRIBLE traction in snowy climates. Once that sole gets cold, it cant grip at all in snow/ice. Other than that, you cant ask for a better boot.

I wear a size 16 shoe(15 UK, since we're talking about Dr. Marten's here), so it's always been difficult for me to find shoes that are not only comfortable for me, but are a style that I actually like. When I bought my first pair of Dr. Marten's, I instantly became a regular customer. These particular boots are perhaps the most comfortable I've purchased so far. Good fit, extremely comfortable sole, and great ankle support. A year and a half later(and I've always been the type of person who abuses and generally wears through shoes quickly), these shoes still feel like I just bought them.

Excellent shoe - I love these shoes. This is the 3rd pair I have owned. I am on my feet all day at work, standing & walking. My feet feel good all day long. In the past my shoes have only lasted 9-12mos, but these shoes look & feel good even 18mos later. I wouldn't have bought my newest pair except with excessive exposure to water I was developing a leak in the stitching; however, the leather is still in good shape. I would highly recommend this shoe to anyone who wants to look at it for a very long time!

Felt broke in when I first put them on - These boots are extremly comfortable...This is like my fifth pair of Doc M's boots/shoes...And I don't remember any of the others being this comfortable on the first time to wear them.

Awsome shoes! Very comfortable, like walking on air...literally. They did run a little bigger than I anticipated. They look great with jeans and feel incredible. Not a whole lot of arch support, but overall a great pair of boots.

The best boot I have worn in 37 years - I have MS so I need a good comfortable boot for standing and working all day as a refrigeration mechanic. Other boots do not compare to the support that these boots give, and I have tried every boot and arch insert I could find. It took only one day of work for these boots to conform to the shape of my feet, giving me the proper support I needed so that my back and legs no longer hurt all day. I purchased these boots one month ago, and I just wish I had found these sooner. I no longer have to take aspirin to stop my back and legs from hurting and aching, and I no longer have to sit down every half hour to take a break. Money is no object if the boot you wear gives you the proper support your body needs, and the 8287 has proven to be the best for me.

Stylish look, but a bit uncomfortable! Thanks to zappos for getting these to me in record time and for the best price. These boots are very stylish and look very good with almost any outfit and they are pretty comfortable except for the fact that I get blisters on the backs of my heels from the hard piece of fabric on the back inside of the heel. Which I guess is to help it keep its shape and to help it from wearing out so quickly, but it seems to be wearing on my heals. I've had them for about a month now so I don't know if this heal problem is because I haven’t leaned to walk right in a pair of boots yet or they haven’t had time to fully be broken in or possible that they are a pair made in china instead of the UK. Also I'm an US 11.5 and got the US size 11 and the fit was good.

Great Boots - These are excellent boots. Very comfortable take little time to break in. Flexible sole and grippy tread pattern perfect for snow. Very good boots that are caual and functional. And they will last a long time with some care given...

These shoes feel so incredibly comfortable they are plenty wide and the leather is very soft.

The shoes that keep on giving - I have had my pair for over 4years. They get a lot of use; stylish; super comfortable; soles conform to your feet like they were custom made; I buff them up with Mink Oil and they look good as new; they're the best!

I got these boots back in October when I took a job requiring me to be on my feet all day. Had heard that Doc Martens were good so I thought I'd try them to help with multiple foot problems, not the least of which was a recently healed broken foot. Very impressed! These are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. Great support and comfort. They do run a bit large...if you're a half size, get the next size down. I normally wear an 8, but had to return them for a 7. Zappos had my replacements to me in no time. They also take a short time to break in, but once that happens it's like they were custom made. I no longer have the "all day on my feet job," but still wear these boots at every opportunity because they are so comfortable and I really like the way they look.

Great Shoes - I just received my shoes and I already know that I am going to like them. I ordered them on a Saturday and they came the next Tuesday all with free shipping, no tax, and a great low price. I will definately recommend these shoes and Zappos.com to everyone I know. These are so comfortable! I haven't owned a pair in years and I really missed them....I am so glad I bought them...truly a great color as well! I would highly recommend them!

8287's - I ordered two pairs of the 8287 series doc martens from zappos. It was 10 degrees below zero with ice and snow on the ground, and these shoes still gripped the ground and wouldn't let go! If I owned only one pair of shoes these would be it! They are extremely comfortable shoes! Thanks Zappos!

Awesome - I own this Doc and 10 other styles. I love them all. The one thing that I would recommend is buy a size smaller than you need. They do take a couple days to break in, but once they do, they will be the best shoes you ever wore.

I have had these shoes for four years, I wear them everywhere. They are so comfortable it's hard to not wear them everywhere. I've worn them to church, weddings, school, work, painting, doing yard work, hiking, just about everywhere. They still look fantastic with somewhat regular polishing. I highly recommend these shoes to anyone, it's highly worth the price, I payed over $125 and am very much satisfied. I'm going on a week long backpacking hike in Yellowstone next summer and will be wearing these for sure.

Little Bigger than exected... The shoes that I got were a half size larger, however- the customer service was OUTSTANDING and I got my DM's in 2 days. I buy shoes all the time here now.

Great boots solid feel yet flexible sole, comfortable as soon as you put on, and get better from there on. Excellent winter traction and the shoes will look good for a long time, with a little maintenance as in polish. Worth the money...

Doc's are always great- and Zappos makes them BETTER! I just have to say, the boot is a huge comfort. I love this style, and as always, Doc Martens are the best. I did think it was a little roomier than I had expected it to be, but otherwise, perfect. Also- a note about Zappos- I couldn't ask for any better customer service than they give. This is really one of THE BEST online shoe dealers on the net. Great product, but made better with the GREAT customer service and S/H!! Thanks!!!!
