A Good Fitting Shoe - The Sebago Schooner is a comfortable shoe because the heel is narrower than the rest of shoe, which means it has a tighter fit on the heel and does not slip. This feature provides shoe stability and comfort.

Great shoe, LOVE IT!!!! This is a great shoe. I love the feel, I love the practicality. I'm a hardcore Sebago fan because their shoes fit my feet. Of course, everyone has different feet, so your results may vary. But if you're looking for a boat shoe, this is an outstanding one.

Outstanding shoe - I can't say enough good about it. Durable, rugged, and very comfortable. I buy Sebago’s exclusively because they fit my narrow heel. Sebago’s rule!

The shoes felt too small. I'm trying to break them in and feel I can't return. I probably should have ordered a wide size or a half size larger, which I never do with other shoes.

Very nice looking shoe. It's a little wider than I expected since I ordered narrow and that usually works for me. I put in a double and single thickness inner soles and that seems to be helping.

I love these shoes. They are my everyday, no socks, shoes and I've worn out at least two pairs in the past. This time I ordered a size 9WW and was expecting an extra wide shoe. The size is not marked that I could find, except on the box. I'd say this pair is more like a 9D. They are not even remotely close to being a WW. I've ordered these before and they were always true to size. I don't know what happened this time. So, I'm exchanging the pair for a size 9 1/2 W. WW wasn't available in 9 1/2. I figured for every half size up is equivalent to an extra size wide. The great thing about Zappos is you NEVER get stuck with the wrong shoes. They've got the best customer service in the business right there with Amazon.

Sebago Schooner is high quality casual shoe. You have to maintain them with saddle soap or they will fade and become shop worn. Very comfortable, but I have had instances where the outside side seams have separated due to this shoe's narrower than expected sizing. I buy up one width to assure the seams do not become stressed.

For $30 more, these shoes are more comfortable and have better workmanship than the Sperry Authentic Original Topsiders I tried.

Fairly comfortable wearing without socks, but the insole is a bit rough in places. Perfect length and width for me.

Very nice casual shoe, well made. Runs small. Returned the first pair for a wide, and it's still a bit tight. Hopefully they will break in a bit. really like the color. Also bought these in a dark brown with a buffed sheen. They fit totally different (a bit loose for size).

Don't take the four stars as a slam. I'm a tough grader, and all three marks are above average. Had these for about a month now, and I probably should have bought a ww rather than a w. They're starting to stretch out now and becoming more comfortable with each wearing. The fact that they're taking their time to stretch out is probably a complement to the durability of the materials. Still, happy as heck with the shoe, and other than the width, it is what it is, and what it is is very hard to find. A classic boat shoe without all the 'stuff' that I feel has ruined this style. The lacing is real across the board without the false sides that many boat shoes have gone to. There is no crummy insert to deteriorate, and what is inside is real leather and actually part of the shoe, so nothing comes out of the shoe when you slip them off. They slip on fine and work with socks or bare feet (that is what the others no longer do). If you wore boat shoes in the eighties, this is what you likely remember, and things were actually better then.

Nice shoes, not as wide as I expected. Zappos has great service. Wish they kept Wider sizes in more of there selections.

These are the most comfortable boat shoes I have owned in my 75 years. I wear size 14B, so there aren't a lot of choices for me. I have also tried the Life Outdoors and the Cabela's brands, but the Sebago's are more comfortable. I wear off the outside edge of the heels on all shoes very quickly, and since the thread that stitches the soles to the uppers on the Sebago's is exposed on the sole of the shoe, I took the precaution of having a cobbler put on a set of plastic heel and toe taps before I ever wore these shoes the first time. Now when I wear the heel taps down I can have them replaced inexpensively and I don't run the risk of wearing through the exposed stitching, which I suspect would make the shoes come apart. This is a minor nit to an otherwise great looking and great feeling pair of shoes. I will be buying more in the future.

Sebago Schooners are good boat shoes and can double as bedroom slippers, which is handy on trips. I recommend them with mild reservations only because they are inferior to Sebago "Schoodics" in fit and break-in. The Schoodic in burnt ivory was the best boat shoe ever made. Unfortunately, like most perfect things, this model has been discontinued as far as I can tell, at least in the magnificent burnt ivory color.

A pure, simple leather deck shoe! The Sebago Schooner is an air-light deck shoe that molds to your feet over time. After a year of use, they are like slipping on air. This shoe provides good longevity, my previous pair lasted 12 years of sea salt exposure. Very little maintenance is required, although I do use Snowseal Wax on them annually. The sole does not scuff or leave marks on either fiberglass or teak decking. I like these shoes over any leather driving mock or slipper; but these are not a competitive/performance sailing shoe... The down side of the Sebago Schooner is the lack of orthotic support; I use a Sole insert to get the arch support for multi-day use, arch support needed.

I owned a pair of these shoes in the past and loved them. It strikes me that the leather of these new shoes is of less quality than my previous pair. I do like the design of the shoes.

I just got my Sebago Schooners. The look is very nice. They are soft and supple. I ordered size 11, WW. They seem too narrow for me. I am not sure what WW means, but I need a double E, and I do not think these are it. Although they might stretch out, I hate to take a chance. I, unfortunately, will likely return them.

I had given up buying shoes in the internet because I was always disappointed with the style and/or fit when the shoes actually arrived. But someone recommended Zappos and I gave it a try. The results were outstanding. The shoes were exactly as they appeared and the fit perfect.\r\n These are vastly superior to the Topsider boat shoes I had previously been wearing. These are more styled and far more durable, better support and a much better sole as well as being very comfortable.

Sebago schooner waxy brown - Seems to be the exact same boat shoe Dexter used to make. Takes a couple of weeks to break them in and then you'll wear them until they fall apart - really comfortable. I like the look of the tan better than brown. My first pair was too narrow; Zappos exchanged them and I had the new ones in about two days! You'd be crazy to buy shoes from anyone else...

Casual wide shoe - The Sebago Schooner is one of few shoes that provides a comfortable fit for a foot with a high instep. I purchased the WW size (W was too narrow) and am just breaking them in - they widen with wear so laces help. Otherwise fit is true.

All around good shoe - The only thing I think I should tell people is that I bought a wide size and that it was fine, but didn't appear as wide as some other similar shoes I have bought in the past. I have been wearing them for about two weeks and the leather has expanded a little thus making it even more comfortable. So in summary, the wide size didn't really look like a wide. I gave the shoe four stars for comfort because of its stiff feel. Although the leather quality is excellent, it is definitely stiff feeling even after two weeks of wearing them.

Pleased with the Schooner - This is the first time I've worn a deck shoe by Sebago though I've had a number of their penny loafers over the years. This shoe is stylish and comfortable. I'll probably order another pair soon in a different color.
