Florsheim has lost its excellence -
I really used to believe in Florsheim shoes. After my first pair, I kept buying them years ago. However, in the last four years at least, their shoes do not have the proper support for the feet. They do not support the arch and my feet are stretching too much. I will not be buying their shoes anytime soon unless they address that issue because my feet are just too important.

I’ve been wearing Florsheim shoes since 1980. I bought my first pair of Imperials shortly after that, and although they were very expensive, I always felt I got my money’s worth because the fit and comfort were the best I’d ever experienced. Since the soles wear out fairly quickly, I’ve had numerous pairs of Imperials since then and all have been what I have come to expect. A couple of weeks ago I bought a pair of Como Imperials from Zappos and am shocked to find that somebody at the Florsheim Company thought it would be a good idea to SEW labels in the insole RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of the heel area. The threads in the label contact my heel and make the shoe feel like there is sand in it. We all know how that feels. Not very comfortable. After all these years, how could they come up with an idea as stupid as that?

I have bought numerous pairs of Florsheim Comos Imperials over the past 10 years. I have been happy because they are comfortable, last a long time, and sizing is very consistent.
Since production has moved to India, I have had two disappointing pairs. The first had the decorative strap break during the first few months. The second has a label that is attached in the heel area that I can feel through my socks. Earlier shoes had a printed logo.
Oh well, all good things must end I guess.

Running colors -
The shoe is very comfortable. Unfortunately, the color seems to have run out of the leather, especially in the back of the shoe, where scuffs are likely. The shoe also feels like it could fall apart at any time.

These aren't what they used to be since they are imported from overseas now.

I have been a loyal customer of a flu shot and shoes for over 50 years. The product is top-notch. Customer service is beyond reproach. I even buy these shoes for my son.

The Como is a shoe model that I have purchased several times over the years. The workmanship and materials are consistently high in quality. The fit for me has always been very comfortable from the time I first put it on. The styling is equally suitable for business casual to more formal attire. Highly recommended

Florsheim stands behind its products evidenced by the replacement shoes sent me due to a defect in the leather. I own multiple pair of Florsheim products and love the leather sole and half heel no longer part of many brands of shoes today.

Excellent shoe, "broken in comfortable" out of the box. I have owned several pairs, had them resoled and reheeled as well. This shoe, and it's cousin the Riva make a great wet or dry shoe pairing.

Casual wear shoes, with all the comfort and Italian style. Nice rich mahogany color. Leather is very high quality. Can't go wrong with it: except it runs 1/2 size too big.

I have both colors of this shoes. I always wanted to buy one, but I have two pair. Never stop making this Como shoes. People has to know so they can have the same experience. It never lose their style, soft for walking, especially when you put a protecting rubber under it. And it will take years to wear and never tear. So, if you want a shoe to take you through the years, buy Como from Florsheim. Angelino Daal.

I have been wearing Comos for many years (Rivas when it rains). They are excellent shoes that feel "broken in" when they arrive. Sad to see them discontinued!

I have worn this particular Imperial Como shoe from Florsheim for several years -- I started buying them in the Florsheim stores, and then continued buying them from the website, when Florsheim closed their stores, and I have enjoyed their style and quality and versatility -- the shoes can be worn with a suit and tie, or with Business Casual attire, or with just plain casual clothes. They're a classic that never goes out of style!
