These shoes are incredibly stylish and go with just about any outfit; however, I must admit that they have one major flaw: the back of the heel (leather) rubs terribly and causes painful blisters with or without socks and/or bandaids. I tried to give the shoes a chance and give them time to break in, but they still give me blisters so I have stopped wearing them entirely. Also, these shoes are not good for skating at all. Maybe for longboarding, but definitely not for flip tricks or even just ollies! The side is made of canvas and literally ripped on the first day of skating them. Disappointing overall, but it still looks amazing.

My 10 year old son loves these shoes! He wears them to school everyday. His feet are a bit wider so these are great. We've had two pair of these so far. Gave it 4 stars overall because we did have a small piece of the top come off after owning them for only a month.

Great old school punk sneaker! Vans old skool is as classic as it gets. I ditched my chuck taylors for these. A good narrow width school that goes with nearly anything. I've had a couple of pairs in my life, but the insole in my left shoe of my this last pair came up, so I replaced it with a Dr. Scholl's gel sport insole, because these shoes have absolutely no arch support. Overall these are one of my favorite sneakers.

Old Skool Rule - I've been faithfully wearing Vans Old Skool shoes for 12 years. I've had all kinds of color combinations and what I can tell you is that every pair delivers quality and comfort for a leisure shoe. These shoes are always rad.

Fairly great shoes - If you love vans, these shoes are perfect, despite some almost blisters I got when I first wore them.

Great look / needs more support - Great look -- I've had lots of complimens on the black/black version. And very comfy. Not quite as much support as I was hoping. I work long, active days and these don't quite hold up, but some drug store insoles are helping. Also, I'm a chick and I love that Zappo's carries the smaller sizes that fit me.

Very good shoe!!! I love these Vans sooo much. I started wearing Vans when I was about 8. They are a good skate shoe and look so dope.

Not quite my 5 year old Airwalks but better than nothing - I wanted a new flat bottom shoe like my old Airwalks that I wore for over 5 years and were stretched vastly beyond their actual size. These Vans are ok, however, I wear a size 14 4E regularly and Vans only come in medium so I got a size 16 which worked for width; however, they’re about an inch to an inch and a half too long "space past my toes" and when I walk they pop, duno if this will go away or not but the 15's won’t fit. I like the comfort of the shoes otherwise.

If Looks Are Everything... (and sometimes, maybe they are) As with that other old school brand Converse, these canvas Vans look wicked cool. Slightly goofy maybe, but the good kind of goofy. They look good. They're also flatfooted and would probably give you some kind of ankle or arch injury if you had to take a serious run in them. But that's not the point. You wanna look cool while trucking around town, and in these you will. And you'll shuffle around in them and your feet will do just fine enough. Bottom line is I'm glad they're in my wardrobe.

Didn't know they were canvas - I bought these for my husband, who only wears Van's or sandals. I didn't realize they were canvas, and he didn't really want canvas, so I will be returning them. I ordered him some other Van's that are leather, and he loves them as always.

I regret this purchase. Three months into owning these shoes holes had already developed in the soles of the shoes. Real, genuine holes; poke your finger through the hole and touch your sock holes. Ultimately, this is a cheaply made product, more fit for use on indoor, carpeted surfaces than outside.

These are great looking shoes that feel comfortable and supportive. However, they have terrible reliability, show signs of wear instantly and are cheap in quality. They did not last six months and are already so worn that stepping in a shallow puddle seeps water in through the sole. These are very disappointing overall. The laces are extremely difficult to unlace, and they are difficult to get on to your feet. Too bad they look so terrible that I cannot return them, otherwise I totally would. I am utterly disappointed.

Comfortable and stylish. Loved that a second, darker pair of laces was included too!
