Hush Puppies Gil - As advertised, very comfortable (according to my husband) and easy to put on and off (even at airport security line). Also, better than moderate arch support. Not as good as orthotics, but very good.

Super comfort! Feather light shoes! One month ago my father had an open heart surgery. I bought these shoes for my father because he needs light and comfortable footwear to walk more. These shoes are more comfortable and much lighter then a snickers. He loves them!!!!!

Hush Puppies Gil - Good shoes, very comfortable, just easily worn out on the sole. If I'd come across something like this but with a more sturdy sole, I'd love to try those too. If you know something like that, please recommend them to me.

Husband has Parkinson's - We have been searching for shoes for my husband for two years...and then we found your sight...it is wonderful. I found his size, something that he could get on without difficulty and they look nice enough to wear with a suit...We will forever be customers.

"Daddy's Girl" While recently visiting with my 75 year old dad, I noticed that his shoes were untied and getting worn. I questioned him about getting better shoes and his reply was, "I plan on getting around to it." Knowing that he dreads the usual disappointment of shoe-shopping trips because he has a "hard-to-fit" wide foot and has much difficulty bending over to tie shoes, I was skeptical. Later that day as I was sharing this concern with my husband (who works for UPS), he suggested "Zappos" because he delivers them all the time. After easily searching the huge selection of Zappos on line, I found the perfect shoe size, 12-EEE, with a velcro closure. Little did I know at that time how appreciative I would be of the speedy 2-day delivery and the exact price (no hidden, tacked-on fees). Zappos is by far the best, first-rate, high quality customer-service that I've had the pleasure to experience. Daddy was so pleased with the leather quality, style, and extremely comfortable fit of the shoes; he wanted to order some boots, too. Hearing him say that the shoes even helped him to walk better made me thankful that I had taken my husband's advice!

WOW! These shoes were obtained for my elderly Dad who has diabetes and neuropathy, resulting in swollen feet. None of the "wide" shoes purchased locally were comfortable...these Hush Puppies Gil are perfect! And the Zappos service was excellent! No complaints here!

Dad loved them! Got these extra wide, easy to fasten shoes for my Dad. I was surprised how light the shoes are! Dad was thrilled, as was I, at finding a lightweight, easy to fasten, attractive shoe that actually fit his size 12 extra wide foot! Especially convenient is that when the shoe is un-velcroed, there is a tongue so you can really get a wide foot into the shoe. Thanks for the great service Zappos provides!

Awesome shoe! I purchased this shoe for someone who has Parkinson. This shoe is perfect for him. I read the other reviews before purchasing in hopes that I could find the perfect shoe - and I did!!! He loves it!!!!! Looks great too!!

Quick draw shoes - I have resisted the hook and loop fasteners because I was always brought up with boots that laced and the need to have good firm footing while being outdoors. Now retired, I have discovered that I don't need to dress as if I'm climbing towers still, and these are really convenient to put on. Just slip on and slap the flap over and that's it! That's good, because my belly is getting to be its own mountain to climb over when I'm lacing up my shoes, and these make it quick and easy. They feel great, and provide me with all of the support that I need these days. Being disabled now, due to a tower climbing incident that broke my back, these shoes make getting dressed a little easier, and less painful. Thanks for a great shoe that does the job really well!

Great Lightweight shoe - Hush Puppies Gil's are not only light in weight but are one the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I am on my feet for 8 straight hours on concrete and they remain comfortable through out my entire day. I would recommend this shoe to any older person who walks a lot, especially on concrete.

Comfort galore - I love these shoes. They are so lightweight and very comfortable for walking many miles. They are great shoes!

Good shoe for diabetics - Really good shoe for diabetics, allows for thicker socks if needed. My only concern is that if you press the tongue flap all the way down the Velcro REALLY sticks, my foot doctor even said that I had made a wise choice and she has a diabetic’s shoe shop on the side

AT LAST!!! My husband has been suffering with swollen feet due to various medical problems. Shoes have been a real problem, but no more! He has no problem getting them on his feet and they are comfortable. Would highly recommend. Love the fact that Zappos allows you to return shoes at no cost to you. If they don't fit. . .try again. Love it.

Happy Husband - My husband had complained that he couldn't find this shoe anyware. He reaction when he opened the box was "hey that's my shoe". Since he spends all day on his feet, once he finds a pair that is comfortable, he tends to stay with the same shoe for years.

Just as described - Easy on and easy off for people who have difficulty dressing.

Comfort Plus - I have been wearing the Hush Puppie Gils about 4 years and find them to be one of the most comfortable and lightweight shoes I have ever worn. I highly recommend them for older men who walk a lot.

They're Perfect - Dad's 88, has difficulty putting on shoes. He can't tie shoelaces easily nor put on his favorite shoes independently. So I resolved to get him handsome, non-sneaker shoes that he could manage on his own and could wear with everything. I found this shoe. Dad forgot to call me to say they had arrived (quite quickly)so when I visited a few days later, I asked him about the shoes. He had been wearing them for days already! They looked good, were soft and sturdy and he put them on and off himself. A winner!

Very Comfortable - These shoes are comfortable, non-slip, easy on and off. My father had me search for them, and I found them here. He will wear no other shoe. Thank Goodness for these shoes.

Perfect fit and arch support. Great walking shoe as well as good looking enough to wear to casual meetings.

Lightweight & comfortable - I could not believe how lightweight these shoes are, yet, after all day being on my feet, they are still as comfortable as first thing in the morning. The velcro strap is a bit nerdish, otherwise the shoes look good with the stitching around the top of the front and the rolled padding around the ankle.

Excellent shoe, excellent service. These have to be the lightest footwear ever!. As my husband wears a prosthesis in one shoe, I have been searching for this type of light weight shoe for sometime. A good looking shoe, well made. As he's in a wheel chair, I appreciate the ease with which these shoes go on and off. Love the full size of the velcro closure.

A real winner! My dad is 88 and has problems getting his shoes on and tying them. After trying maybe a dozen different shoes over the last two months, this is the first pair of shoes that he was able to put on and fasten himself. Just great!!!
