Xero Shoes

Xero Shoes Logo
Born in Boulder, Colorado, in 2009, Xero Shoes continues to revolutionize the footwear industry by offering innovative barefoot shoes, boots, and sandals. Crafted with the Xero Shoes’ DNA – wider, foot-shaped toe boxes and zero-drop, flexible soles, they are designed to mimic the natural, barefoot experience. Your feet are meant to bend, flex, move, and feel. Xero Shoes lets them do that with our collection of radically lightweight shoes, boots and sandals designed with a foot-first philosophy. From mountain trails to urban jungles, Xero Shoes help you... Live Life Feet First™ In a saturated footwear market, husband and wife Steven Sashen and Lena Phoenix differentiated their shoe brand, focusing on natural movement. Steven, a Masters All-American sprinter, struggled with running injuries until he started training barefoot. Once his form changed, his injuries disappeared, and he couldn’t go back to wearing “normal shoes.” They made DIY sandals, which quickly became popular in their Boulder community. The couple founded Xero Shoes in 2009 in a spare room in their house.

These are pretty good shoes. I like the barefoot concept, and these fit well and felt very comfortable. My main critique is in the area of durability. These did not hold up as well as I would have liked. Some tears developed in the top around the edges of the foot after a year and a half or so, and there is some separation of the sole. Nothing major, and they're sill wearable, but I've had other shoes that held up better over this amount of time.

I merely put these shoes in my cart to research, then tp decide to buy or not. I didn’t even get the opportunity to study before the shoes were shipped to me without my consent. Not a happy experience. After receiving the shoes, I took one look and knew immediately they’d never fit my feet - way too small. The saving grace is Zappos has an easy return process.

Way too small. And I need to say that these shoes were merely in my “cart”, I did not place an order on them. Very disappointed in the processing of a cart item!

Size was too small. Not really a shoe. Purchased two sizes. Neither fit well. These are almost socks. Purchased a pair of Whittin shoes on Amazon and they are amazing and like 40 bucks. Those are shies ans perfect. Would NOT recommend Xero shoes.

Usually wear a size 13, which was returned as it ran small... so re-ordered in a size 14.. I would say these shoes run one size smaller. They look great and feel great!

Best thing about these shoes were the wide toe box but it runs a bit short. I ordered a 10-1/2 maybe an 11 would have been better. They are cute but have no arch support and looked a bit young for my taste (I am 67).

I am normally a size 6 but got 6.5 in this shoe. It is very comfortable. Toe box is amazing, none of my toes hurt even after wearing all day. I love wearing them and for now, have put aside my Skechers and Asics.

Great snicker. But. Non durable. Only 3 months in they had holes in them, so my husband decided to just “finish” them and wore them to work. Very comfortable. These are actually cuter than some other ones from Xero. So. Overall. Sad to pay this much for a not so long lasting shoes. We are going to give them another chance though, since he loved the comfort of the shoes and I want to try them, so I’ll get me a pair too. When we have the money.

Best sandals ever. Just what barefoot is about. Had them for 3 years now. Good for anything anywhere. Wore them with shorts, dresses. Everybody compliments me on them. Ended up buying a pair to a family member as a gift. Husband wears men one in green.

The toe box was perfect for my son's wide feet. The performance is as any zero-drop shoe is supposed to be. He ended up returning the shoes because he prefers a little more cushion. That is the only reason.

These shoes are designated US 13 / EUR 46. I am from UK and ever since I have lived in the US (25 years) shoe sizes have been US 13 / EUR 47 (which is the size I wore in the UK). I liked the style of these shoes, but I also had a concern about the lack of arch support for a bigger person.

I have a narrow back of heel and a very low instep, but a wide toe area (toes splay out). These fit great!

Rated these 2 stars because of the lack of slip resistance. These are very comfortable if you don't need arch support (I don't.) They look good. Major negative quality, however, is the "grippy" sole - absolutely zero slip resistance on these shoes. Not sure how the manufacturers tested these on wet surfaces and are advertising them as hiking shoes...

I’m a true size 7 and I ordered a 7 and either they run way too small or the shape of the shoe is way off. My toes were scrunched at the top. They did feel lightweight and more like a flexible sneaker than a rigid hiking boot. I returned.

The size and fit I got was fine. I wear these shoes twice a week for 1 hour each time to work out in a gym. They are not worn out on street except in and out of car to gym. I have had these shoes since November 2023 and the insides are wearing terribly. the sole shifts towards the heel and sticks out of the shoe. Since the sole keeps shifting, it feels rough under my feet. I feel that only wearing them two days a week for 1 hour each time, they should have worn better. I would like to return them so that you can see how poorly they are wearing.

These shoes are so comfortable. I use them for work an often have to walk and be on my feet a lot. They wore out a lot quicker than a pair of Merrell trail running shoes I had. But honestly I'm going to buy another pair of Xero shoes and not the Merrell's again because the Xero's are more comfortable than the Merrell;s

I've been wearing the barefoot style shoes for years. Mostly Merrells. These Xero Prio shoes are by far the most comfortable ones to date. I normally wear a wide shoe however, the width on these shoes fit fine.
