Not so pretty, a little heavy too, but supper comfee - Not a very pretty shoe. A little on the heavy side too, but very comfortable. I wear size 9 or 9.5 enclosed shoe so I ordered size 40. I had a hard time getting pair that actually fit, but like most people I have one foot slightly larger than the other. I even ordered size 41 from another on line retailer as Zappos didn't have that size in stock. I realized that 41 was way too big (even for my big foot lol) so to make a long story short, I ordered about 4 or 5 pairs of this shoe until I got the right fit. I tried the oiled professionals but in the end the "plain" professionals worked for me. Even when I made up my mind to keep them I wasn't totally happy with the fit, but after wearing them a few times I'm glad that I kept them. I don't know if they stretched or if they conformed to my feet or what but I know that they feel good, and I never had the problem of breaking them in (no blisters, rubbing, or any type of discomfort). The back slips up and down as you walk (and I think that's how they should fit) but they shouldn't be able to fly off your feet. Oh, one more thing. Zap pos was abfab (absolutely fabulous) about the returns. I was feeling a little guilty about the number of exchanges but they assured me that it was no problem. Now here's the biggest shocker. I was telling the customer service rep, Reandra that I really wanted these shoes as I am studying to be a surgical tech. Well a few days later I got a card in the mail from her wishing me good luck in my studies! If you see something you like, try it at and if it just does not work returns/exchanges are a breeze.

Best shoes ever - I would very much the Dansko Professional shoes -they are the MOST comfortable shoes I have ever worn- I work in a hospital and people told me over and over again to buy some Danskos but I was unwilling to spend the $$...after 2 yeas of crappy shoes at a lower cost, I broke down and it's the best decision I ever made. I would definitely buy them again. I would also highly recommend Zappos.com- I ordered my shoes online and received them within a 24 hour period. It was very fast. Great purchase.

They are extremely comfortable, and I wanted these shoes to work for me. They are very heavy though, and I suppose because of the weight or balance of the shoe I was constantly twisting my ankle in them. I've had my pair for nearly two years, and figuring I would eventually get used to them, I keep trying them. Finally, today, after twisting my ankle in them again, hard enough this time to actually fall on the ground, they went into the trash. They obviously are wonderful for a lot of people - look at the great reviews. But if you find yourself twisting your ankle in them, you're probably not ever going to get used to them. The thick soles that make them so comfortable and shock absorbing also make them like bricks on the feet I guess. At least for me.

Great work shoe! I work 12.5 hour shifts in a hospital. I have spent a lot of money buying every "nursing shoe under the sun" and my Danskos are the best purchase I have ever made… LOVE THEM! I do have to say I originally ordered a size 37 (I am a size 7) and the 38 was the better fit. With Zappos’ easy return policy, I had my shoes within 2 days.
